The Ongoing rains in Kenya have affected a number of places, displacing residents and in some cases leading to loss of lives and currenty the closure of Amboseli Airstrip.
The tourism industry have not been left alone either as the parks have been drenched ,some flooded making it uncomfortable for both the visitors and wildlife.

This has currently resulted to the closure of Amboseli Airstrip by Kenya Wildlife Sevice director General Ngugi Gecaga .
“The closure of the park was carefully considered keeping in mind the safety of our visitors who visit the park. The apron is flooded as well as the customer service center, which have made it impossible to serve our customers.” Gecaga said

However Gecaga has said that the rest of the park remains open but visitors are advised to exercise caution and guidance on the condition of the park’s roads and gates. And will be reopened when the conditions are favourable.
